This third photo series took part during the month of December. After finding out I enjoyed casual photography the previous month, I tended to continue as best as I could, meaning that I still kept carrying my camera around me in hopes of immortalizing precious moments.
Having finished December 9th, the earliest my friends and I had finished in a long time, we were suddenly faced with more than a month off school. Wondering what we could possibly fill our days with for that amount of time, we simply took it easy and relaxed. My vacation was mostly filled with walks to the Summit Belvedere, in order to get rid of all that extra weight gained after Christmas Eve dinner, joyful bus rides, bedroom stories, and visits of our very own Montreal, this time focused more in the Plateau Mont-Royal area. Indeed, it is a wonderful area also filled with so much life and color, and walking through all the small alleys amongst joyful murals made us realize how lucky we are to live in a city like ours. We ended our journey in the famous Square Saint-Louis, where we remembered that it once had been the home of poet Emile Nelligan, and reminisced about our High School French lectures where we learned all about his poem “Soir d’hiver” and recited it as we were amidst our very own “Jardin de givre”, snow covering every last bit of the square.
All in all, December was a rather relaxed month, and so were my photos. Without further ado, here they are.
